Don't remember?
'Cuz if you've been married for 8 years and have been raising two energetic 13 month old boys, and your husband travels for work at lot, so you take the kids to the local library for entertainment, it might have been awhile. Till last night, when I swiped the humorous-looking book, Cake Wrecks, off the shelf on my way out the library door.
Maybe you already know about this blog, http://www.cakewrecks.com/. She's been around for a couple of years and has turned her blog into a book. I am woefully behind the times, so forgive me if I'm telling you something you already know:
THIS IS THE MOST HILARIOUS THING I'VE READ - EVER!
I put the boys to bed and, instead of cleaning the tornadic mess that was the destruction of my home, I started flipping through the book. And flipping, and laughing, and snorting out loud! Can you imagine being the graduate who receives this?
Oh, that's just the tip of the iceberg, too! So when Steve got home late from a trip and we were drifting off to sleep, I mentioned this book. And I was laughing so hard at just the memory of the cakes, I couldn't spit it out! Steve said, "Well, go get it!"
And we stayed up till way too late, laughing and snorting and CRYING because we were laughing so hard at the ridiculous cakes people actually PAID FOR!
Laughing like that with my hubby was like going back in time - to when we were young and dating and not tired or exhausted new parents all the time and everything we did together was HILARIOUSLY FUN!
I absolutely can't wait till we finish reading the book this weekend - he missed the entire chapter about chocolate frosting looking like doo-doo! *Laugh, snort*
